Atlas Rug wash and repair facilities are state of the art. All the rugs are hand dusted and hand washed from start to finish.

There are seven steps to our rug washing process:

1-Pre-wash inspection: The pre-wash inspection allows us to choose the correct method of cleaning for your precious rug. We inspect the rug for any pre-existing conditions. Many times, soil covers up dye lot variations (abrash), fibre staining, prior dye bleeding, worn areas or white knots that become "uncovered" after the wash.

The dyes of your rug are tested for colorfastness. If the dyes are not colorfast, then the rug is prepared by setting the dyes.

Some rugs can hold up to one pound of dirt per square foot before it will "look" dirty. Cleaning a rug with pounds of fine grit and dirt in the foundation will turn this dry soil into dusting is a very important step in the washing process.

By removing the dry soil, chances of the rug wearing out prematurely would be greatly reduced. Your rug can also lose up to half its weight.

The rug will be given a cold water shampoo bath, using soft brushes for mild agitation. The rug is soaked for a certain length of time, depending on how much surface soil needs to be worked out and rinsed from the rug's fibers. (each rug will be soaked in fresh water, we dont reuse water.)

4-Spot removal: It is very common to have spots in your carpet. We eliminate each spot by first by determing the spot. We remove wine spots different than urine spots, and any other spots diifrently. We use only natural spot removers so that the it wont neither harm the rug or its colors.

5-Rinsing: Removal off all cleaning and soil residue by means of clear water rinse is vital of achieving a thoroughly clean rug. The rinse process utilizes clear water at a gentle flow rate to ensure the rug is left without any residue after the cleaning process.

6-Drying: This is actually the key factor in washing a rug. An unproper dryed rug can ruin the whole wash process. We air dry all of your rugs. We don't hang the rugs(hanging rugs results in shrinking and damaging the rug), instead we place them in layers where the wet rug can drain. In each section there is only one rug. In each section there is continuous air circulation that takes the wet air out and brings in fresh air. And also in this step some bad odors will be eliminated as well ( wet wool smells very bad).

7-Final Inspection: We maintain the highest standards, so our inspection process is thorough. We don’t hesitate to repeat any steps that might be necessary to provide you with the cleanest rug possible. It's that final touch that means so much to us.

We have the lowest prices for the highest quality wash and repair service.
